I Will Be Beside You In Time

A few days and I'll be receiving the Nine Inch Nails live DVD "Beside You In Time" ! Woo! For the time being, I'm still all over EVE.. heh, to the point that I'm now reading the RP forums. Yes, the RP forums.. so far into said forums that I'm reading about the politicking and political discussions of the various EVE governments. I realize the insanity of this, but at the moment it's far more interesting that today's RL government. Hahah.. but anyway. Boo Amarr Empire! lawl my back hurts...

Oh, and art is resistance. Art is change. Give it a voice.

North & South

In the past couple days (in EVE), I have practiced two very different play styles. The first being marketing. Yep, spending my gaming hours looking at price sheets, regional averages, trends, and setting up orders. The idea is basic for short term sell orders: find a region or system that has a common item selling cheaper than dirt and buy it all up. I set up buy orders anywhere from 100 units of sometime all the way to 5000 units, depending on the price. Once a large bit is bought, I spend a couple hours shuttling through the region, picking up all the orders. After I gather up a sufficient amount, I then set my autopilot for whatever region I found to have the best prices. This is the beauty of a player run market. My best sales recently involved selling things for quadruple their market value only two regions away. Lazy people with too much ISK, makes me rich! Well.. fake rich, but hey, I'm having fun. Sometimes the market on a certain item gets ruined before I get a proper chance to sell the large amount I have left. This is where my studying of the price trends comes into play. I can either see that a year ago the price made the same drop, but doubled in a month, or that it's been on a constant slight rise, big drop for a long time. I don't know why I enjoy this, but I do.

Oh, and I've been doing L3 missions in my new Battleship! Too bad I can't use large beam turrets yet. Goodnight.---

Imagination

Finding stuff like this in EVE is one of the many reasons I play. So much to explore out there. Too bad I can't buy lenses for my camera drone.. hehe.

Consider This A Sneak Peek (Maybe)

Yeah, I plan on posting a bigger update. Sometime. Valentine's = BUSY for cooks. So yeah, the corp I'm in finally got a player owned station up in Ane, which is nice since now we can research and copy blueprints and all that jazz. Plus, if anyone flies to it by accident, they get gunned down by our defense systems. Not to mention we have a safe place to fly to just in case we piss off the wrong Corp (Grumpy Old Farts for example). It's good times all around. I can finally use T2 Armor Reps and I'm fast on my way to fielding a BC well enough for L3 missions. What does all that mean to the non-EVE'er? Nothing. Oh, and I finally got a fitting for the T1 Gallente Frigate, Tristan, that can tackle and kill a Serepentis Wing Leader! Takes forever to break the NPC's tank, but it's still neat to see a noob(ish) frig blow apart the hull of a 150k bounty rat. Shields after fight? 92%. ^^

Meanwhile, my lovely Alicia is awesome and gave me a great Valentine's. She is the perfect remedy for stress during a busy work week. I am truly the luckiest man alive! Still need to put a ring on her finger though...

And Nine Inch Nails is keeping the buzz going with a crazy "Alternate Reality Game" that's got me looking at every last detail of images and text. The night of a concert in "Bilbao", Spain, there was a hidden message discovered amongst brutally broken text that finally translated to one of the opening passages from "The Hobbit" . Very clever indeed, though I don't know how that relates at all to the current "NINspiracy". Either way, I absolutely love the new track that was leaked. "My Violent Heart" and it was leaked just in time for Valentine's day. Heh, clever. Again.

My skills are set and my ship safely docked. I still want to start writing fanfiction.. I'm not even halfway through the Book of EVE though and don't want to make an arse of myself. Good times. Goodnight.
